A Prayer of Surrender Can Change Your Life!

I love the power of prayer with all its mystery, comfort and miracles. I also love Catholic mysticism from which the following prayerful novena below was gifted to us.

A novena is an evolving prayer that one says daily for nine days in a row. This particular prayer that I am sharing with you today, called the Surrender Novena, is especially uplifting, stress-reducing, calming and beyond transformative. It will absolutely change your life! If you are at a crossroads, struggling with anything in your life, or are simply looking for more miracles, or a way to be in more flow with your Higher self or purpose or God’s will, this novena will provide! Expect perfect alignments, positive shifts and miracles. Truly.

Father Don Dolindo was a prophet and Catholic priest who was able to hear the words of God and had clear communications with Jesus. It is recorded that this novena was given to Fr. Don Dolindo directly from Jesus. You can read more about this Father here. He was a fellow priest to St. Padre Pio, both holding the other in high regard and both considering the other a saint. Both men experienced stigmata during their holy, selfless, humble lives. And, it was St. Padre Pio who famously and often said, “Pray, hope and don’t worry.” Thanks to Fr. Don Dolindo’s divine communication, the following novena is here to help us live St. Padre Pio’s words.

All you need to do is recite the short prayers for each day, as outlined below. The key is repeating, “O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!” ten times or MORE a day. If you do not feel comfortable with Jesus, you can easily replace this name with the word Yeshua, Christ, God, Abba, the Divine, Universe, Source, Creator or any other Higher being or Higher love-based essence you resonate with.

I love this novena so much that I often chant the “O Jesus” portion throughout the day. I also, at times, have said the novena for nine days then immediately began again with another nine days and on and on. If the upliftment, lightness and the miracles are flowing, why stop! I am always striving to surrender my life to God’s will and to my Highest mission so that I may be of the Highest service to others and the world through my Reiki practice and in my life.

Let go of all your worries, decisions and quandaries with this beautiful nine-day prayer. Don’t think of the present nor the future, just melt into the prayer as you speak it aloud, feeling the energy of it filling you with a heavenly peace. Enjoy the blessings that will come your way…

The Surrender Novena

Day 1

Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying? Leave the care of your affairs to me and everything will be peaceful. I say to you in truth that every act of true, blind, complete surrender to me produces the effect that you desire and resolves all difficult situations.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 2

Surrender to me does not mean to fret, to be upset, or to lose hope, nor does it mean offering to me a worried prayer asking me to follow you and change your worry into prayer. It is against this surrender, deeply against it, to worry, to be nervous and to desire to think about the consequences of anything.

It is like the confusion that children feel when they ask their mother to see to their needs, and then try to take care of those needs for themselves so that their childlike efforts get in their mother’s way. Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul, to turn away from thoughts of tribulation and to put yourself in my care, so that only I act, saying, “You take care of it.”

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 3

How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need, turns to me, looks at me and says to me, “You take care of it,” then closes its eyes and rests. In pain you pray for me to act, but that I act in the way you want. You do not turn to me, instead, you want me to adapt to your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you, but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to. So do not act this way, but pray as I taught you in the Our Father: “Hallowed be thy Name,” that is, be glorified in my need. “Thy kingdom come,” that is, let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with your kingdom. “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven,” that is, in our need, decide as you see fit for our temporal and eternal life. If you say to me truly: “Thy will be done,” which is the same as saying: “You take care of it,” I will intervene with all my omnipotence, and I will resolve the most difficult situations.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 4

You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry. Close your eyes and say to me with faith: “Thy will be done, You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say, “You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than my loving intervention. By my love, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 5

And when I must lead you on a path different from the one you see, I will prepare you; I will carry you in my arms; I will let you find yourself, like children who have fallen asleep in their mother’s arms, on the other bank of the river. What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason, your thoughts and worry, and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 6

You are sleepless; you want to judge everything, direct everything and see to everything and you surrender to human strength, or worse—to men themselves, trusting in their intervention—this is what hinders my words and my views. Oh, how much I wish from you this surrender, to help you; and how I suffer when I see you so agitated! Satan (or illusion) tries to do exactly this: to agitate you and to remove you from my protection and to throw you into the jaws of human initiative. So, trust only in me, rest in me, surrender to me in everything.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 7

I perform miracles in proportion to your full surrender to me and to your not thinking of yourselves. I sow treasure troves of graces when you are in the deepest poverty. No person of reason, no thinker, has ever performed miracles, not even among the saints. He does divine works whosoever surrenders to God. So don’t think about it any more, because your mind is acute and for you it is very hard to see evil and to trust in me and to not think of yourself. Do this for all your needs, do this, all of you, and you will see great continual silent miracles. I will take care of things, I promise this to you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 8

Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of my grace; close your eyes and do not think of the present, turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation. Repose in me, believing in my goodness, and I promise you by my love that if you say, “You take care of it,” I will take care of it all; I will console you, liberate you and guide you.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Day 9

Pray always in readiness to surrender, and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards, even when I confer on you the grace of immolation, of repentance, and of love. Then what does suffering matter? It seems impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul, “Jesus, you take care of it.” Do not be afraid, I will take care of things and you will bless my name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender, remember this well. There is no novena more effective than this.

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)

Mother (Mary or Divine Mother), I am yours now and forever.
Through you and with you
I always want to belong
completely to Jesus.

July Reiki Classes in Santa Rosa

So far, I have one certified Usui Reiki class scheduled for the month of July. Often, I add classes last minute if I get private requests and more interest, so please check back or contact me HERE if you are interested in a Reiki class of any level (Reiki I, II, III or Reiki Master Teacher).

I am also in the process of organizing a Reiki III Advanced Reiki Training (ART) class for either late August or early September. I will post this class here on my blog once the date is set.

The class I am offering this month in July is a certified second degree Reiki II class. The class date synchronistically falls on the new moon, which is an auspicious time for higher spiritual learning! Here are more class details…

LEVEL II SECOND DEGREE (OKUDEN)

Pre-requisite: Reiki I. (Bring Reiki I certificate) This class is for Reiki practitioners.

This Reiki level II certification class will further enhance your Reiki Level I capabilities. In Reiki Level II, you learn the three sacred Power, Distant, Mental/Emotional Reiki healing symbols that bring you increased Reiki energy and healing ability.

This certification class is a combination of lecture, discussion, and hands on practice experience. Additional practice after the class is necessary to gain the experience and confidence you need to embrace the Reiki Level II training and becoming a Reiki practitioner.

In addition to the class registration fee, you must purchase the book, Reiki: The Healing Touch [Plastic Comb], by William Rand, unless you already have it from your Reiki I class with me.

Reiki Dolls with Crystal Chakras for Distance Healings

 

I have something special I would like to share with those of you who have an interest in sending distance Reiki or have (or will) complete a Reiki II class.

To begin, let me briefly explain a little about Reiki II. The second level of Reiki is a powerful achievement. It provides three significant Reiki symbols- the power symbol, the mental/emotional symbol and the distance symbol. With these symbols, anyone can start a Reiki practice and provide Reiki by distance as I do. When I teach Reiki II, I like to have my students practice sending distance Reiki using a pillow or a doll as a model to represent the person intended to receive the healing energy. This is a physical way for a person to send energy to an absent recipient and can often make the process easier to conceptualize and perform.

With this said, I have a dear student of mine who I taught the Reiki I, II, III and Master Teacher levels to years ago. Her name is Kimm Abercrombie, and she has designed a wonderful way to help Reiki students and practitioners to more tangibly send distance Reiki. She has handcrafted a Reiki doll for use during distance energy healings. I now use her doll during my Reiki classes as a model for my own students.

This is what she writes about her handmade Reiki dolls:

 

The beginning ideas for the doll came with my inability to connect with a teddy bear or doll for Reiki distance healing.  I kept thinking that there could be a tool with a more neutral identity to transfer intention to different subjects. The shape was inspired by gingerbread cookies and a toy that my son had as a child. The larger size, I felt, was much better to be able to use more standard hand positions and inspiration for new ones.

I wanted it to be made of all natural materials as much as possible. The idea was to empower the Reiki flow with color and crystals. The body is made of 100 percent cotton, stuffed with bamboo fiber. The Chakra discs are 100 percent wool hand embroidered with pure cotton thread. I clear the crystals corresponding to the Chakras with sea salt and sew them to the doll with Reiki constantly flowing. I have found that it strengthens intent and flow as have my Reiki students that have used it for some time now.

I have decided to charge $85.00 for the doll after comparing it to others of a similar kind on ETSY. Due to its size and quality, I feel that this is still a very reasonable price. I would be happy to give a $10.00 discount to your students. But there would still be a ten dollar shipping and handling charge.

Solar Plexus Chakra Balancing with Reiki, Crystals, Meditation & Sound

Every Reiki treatment I give includes a complete chakra balancing. This is one of my favorite healing gifts to provide, and I never close a session until each of my client’s main chakras have been cleared, activated and harmonized.

Recently, during my work, I have noticed that many of my clients are experiencing a weakness in the solar plexus chakra. Since this has been a running theme, I thought it would be worthwhile to write a little something about the solar plexus and offer a few tips to help strengthen this area.

The solar plexus is located right below the heart just under the ribcage.

This is a significant point within the energy body. I like to think of the solar plexus as the personal power spot. It is the third chakra. In Sanskrit, it is called Manipura. It relates to the color yellow. To me, it feels like the power of the sun. It holds the energy of personal and spiritual empowerment. It is connected to self-confidence, drive, self-respect, strength, self-worth, courage and a healthy sense of self. There are some simple ways to keep this area vitalized. One is to meditate on the color yellow or to simply have the color yellow around. Wearing a yellow shirt, for example, keeping yellow flowers, making yellow art, or bringing decorative yellow accents into the home are some helpful ideas.

Crystal therapy is also effective for chakra balancing. Citrine is one of my favorite crystals, and it can be used to empower the solar plexus. Keep this stone in a place where it can be seen throughout the day like on a work desk or keep it close to the body, tucked away in a pocket or worn as jewelry. If you don’t have citrine, simply visualizing and meditating on its image can be just as effective. If you do this, visualize that the citrine is being placed right inside your solar plexus. This can invoke wonderful healing.

During sessions, I will directly channel the energy of citrine (or whatever crystal shows itself to me that is specialized for the client’s healing) into the solar plexus to amplify its energy. Another technique I use is to draw down the sun. I do this by channeling the powerful sun energy into the solar plexus. My client can further this work by visualizing that the sun is being placed right into the solar plexus. This meditation can fill and warm up this area, which is often what a weak solar plexus needs to be activated and in balance.

Each of the chakras has a sound frequency that relates to it. The seed mantra of the solar plexus is: Ram. Meditating while slowly chanting the word Ram is a way to connect the vibration of your own voice to that of your solar plexus, thus clearing and harmonizing this power point.

The following are two musical videos that focus solely on solar plexus healing using sound frequencies. This first video, Magical Chakra Meditation Chants for Solar Plexus Chakra | RAM Seed Mantra Chanting and Music, is an hour of meditative chanting. You do not have to listen to the entire hour, just a few minutes will be of benefit if your time is limited. I would recommend looking at the screen while listening, so you can focus on the bright yellow image. You may also gain benefits simply by playing the music in the background while you work, meditatively walk, or putter around your home. If you enjoy listening to chants, this may be a great video for you.
